Our Grandfathers Were Right

Hi there! My name is Elisabeth Welsh, the author of Our Grandfathers Were Right. I am an independent, queer author based out of Southern California.

I have been writing since the fourth grade, continuing the expand my mind’s world and hone my skills since 2014. Since this young age, I’ve known that I have a story worth telling. I made a promise to myself all those years ago that I won’t drop this hobby, no matter how hectic and rough life gets.

My mission, when it comes to both this blog and my work collectively, is to foster a community. Even if a single individual finds comfort in a piece of mine, I will be able to sleep happily at night.

In our current political climate, telling stories and being creative is at its upmost importance. I believe that the best weapon a creative person has is their mind, and by continuing to create pieces that can be construed as “radical”, we are showing those suppressing us and our voices that we will not submit.
