Older generations in our families can hold all sorts of lessons, but I’m sure once you’ve heard this one like a broken record, life is hard. The “real world” is hard, it won’t be handed to you on a silver platter.

However, if you’ve noticed, older generations also always have outrageous and sometimes down right unbelievable stories from their youth. Whether it’s about how they robbed a gas station or how they had a run-in with a Padres player. You listen in awe, because despite their constant reminders of how hard life is, they still have this incredible stories to share with others.

These stories prove that they’re right, life will be hard, really hard. But you will also have moments of incredible adventures that one day you’ll tell your grandchildren.
